Learn about gardening practices to reduce fertiliser runoff to waterways. Come and hear a lecture from one of the regions top waterway scientists, and get your hands dirty identifying some of the unseen critters living in a creek near you! This workshop by Dr Shane White will delve into what happens to fertiliser when it runs off to waterways, and how we could reduce these impacts from our gardens.

From 9.00 am (for a 9.15 start) until 12.00 (with breaks and time for questions)

At Coffs Regional Community Gardens

51 Combine Street

Free

This workshop is funded by City of Coffs Harbour as part of the Environmental Levy Grants Program

Dr Shane White is an environmental scientist with significant contributions to understanding and combating waterway pollution and fertiliser management. His research highlights the urgent need for sustainable land-use practices. We will also have a look at some of the little critters that live in our waterways and examine how these bugs can tell a story about the health of the creek. He aims to combine scientific rigor with community action, driving forward the mission to preserve our waterways for generations to come.

The workshop is free but numbers are limited, so please book so you don't miss out.
