Australian Bush Food

 

From 1 -3pm, a tasting and talk about bush tucker with indigenous elder Sue Tompkins from Bush Tucker Shack.

Nothing brings people together more than shared food and get prepared for some new taste bud experiences. The Gardens are exploring new ways to adapt and experience  food across many cultures so what better place to start than with Australian native bush food.

So apart from saving money you avoid genetically modified crops or plants grown for commercial success but low on taste. Branch out with food that can be foraged or locally grown that falls outside the European standard fare.

The Gardens will also fire up the wood fired pizza oven for some accompaniment of food and education.

The workshop is free but numbers are limited, so please book so you don't miss out.
